We also take pride in offering effective and efficient options to treat many different eye diseases and conditions. At Eyes on Westlake, your eyes come first.

Top-Quality Technology

When you visit us for an eye exam at Eyes on Westlake, we strive to provide the highest standard of care. For us, this involves using state-of-the-art technology to examine and assess your eyes.

Your exam will involve various simple tests that most patients report as being painless and comfortable. If you have any questions about what equipment we’re using, please don’t hesitate to ask. We love talking about eyes, so we’d be happy to explain what we’re using on you and why!

Focused on Your Eyes

Wondering what equipment may be involved in your eye exam? See for yourself below!

Tonometry

Have you ever dreaded an eye exam, knowing air would be puffed into your eye? At Eyes on Westlake, we believe that technology to be outdated. We’ve got the eye exams without the puff!

Tonometry is a diagnostic tool used to measure your intraocular pressure (IOP). At Eyes on Westlake, we offer both the iCare and Goldmann tonometry to measure the pressure inside your eye.

Testing your intraocular pressure helps us determine your risk for developing eye diseases like glaucoma.

At Eyes on Westlake, we use this to evaluate ocular health and for documentation. This gives us the ability to show you what we see on your ocular surface on a TV screen!

This allows us a 200 degree view inside your eye, and helps to document changes over time. We can even show you the images of your retina with this technology!

This also helps us to detect early signs of eye disease, like age-related macular degeneration, and monitor its progression with high-resolution images.

Through digital refractions, we’re able to evaluate your glasses prescription with automated phoropters!

Meibography is an imaging technology that takes high-resolution images of your meibomian glands, which are commonly what cause dry eye syndrome. This technology allows us to detect and diagnose blockages in the meibomian glands, causing the tear film’s layers to become unbalanced.
